“No allergies,” I told the waitress. It was true, I didn’t have any allergies she needed to worry about.
My husband, on the other hand, who would eat any leftovers that I told him not to touch, should worry. If he had learned how to follow his apologies with changed behaviour at any point in the past fourteen years, he would be perfectly safe. If he had learned to consider how his decisions impacted others, he might hesitate to eat the remaining risotto with pine nuts I would bring home from girls night. Unfortunately for him, tonight, finally, actions have consequences.
