“What do you think, logographies or syllabaries?”
Tony turned from the abstract. The gallery was empty but for the two of them.
“Pretentious?” he offered.
The redhead scowled. “I was talking about the script on the totems.”
“Is that what they are? Were they pre-existing? They look faked.”
The scowl evolved into a glower. “You don’t appreciate the composition and palette of tones then?”
“It’s a black-and-white photograph,” he said. “Would it be in a gallery if it was colour?”
She grimaced. Linking arms, she whispered, “Hope you took pleasure in dissing my client, hun. You so aren’t getting any tonight.”
