“You know what I mean?”
“Yes,” I replied.
“You know what I mean; that’s the best I can do!”
“I know,” I said.
“But really, you know what I mean; what do people really expect?”
I wondered, “Too much, maybe?”
“If you would really listen to me, you’d know what I mean. It’s not much to ask someone to listen, if you know what I mean.”
“I think I get your point,” I answered.
“Well, finally you get it! You know what I mean.”
I happily shouted, “It’s crystal clear. You can be sure I know YOU know what you mean.”
Excellent….pithy!

I have similar conversations every day. Makes you want to pull out your hair. Well done!
Thanks Sue. Unfortunately, some people need half an hour to express something which needs 20 seconds. Time is precious

Thanks for the feedback Efraim. A conversation takes two people or else it’s just a self-centered person performing for whoever bothers to listen.
