“It’s just a little bit, but it’s okay!” said my three-year-old, Isaac.
With outstretched arms, I lugged him from his bedroom to the bathroom.
I stood him up, pulled his pants down, and plopped him on the toilet bowl. A hard small turd had rolled onto the tiled floor.
“It’s okay!” he repeated.
He grunted. His face turned red. He babbled about the show Paw Patrol.
“Daddy, I still get candy?” he asked. I was wiping him. “I love you,” he added.
“Of course, buddy.”
A high five. I dressed him. Off he went.
I still had to bleach the floor.
A wonderful true life story !
