If I hadn’t been angry, I wouldn’t have accused her of sneaking Oliver in after I was gone.
If she hadn’t bragged about it, I wouldn’t have called her a slut.
If I’d seen her snatch the letter opener from the desk, she wouldn’t have been able to stab me.
If I hadn’t angered her, yelling call an ambulance, she wouldn’t have stormed out the door.
She hated to be yelled at.
