In My Galaxy

In My Galaxy

By Krystyna Fedosejevs

When you left, I bent my head in silence. Disbelief and sadness weighed my thoughts. Tears marked the baby steps I took through a meaningless daily routine. Nothing felt the same.

Other faces mattered not, for I only saw yours. In places we frequented. Our candid conversations. Warmth exchanged through the power of our eyes. Love we swore would never end.

The miniature rose you gave me is blooming again. You would’ve been delighted had you stayed.

You are the brightest star of my galaxy, the energy propelling me to go forward.

As I walk this earth after your untimely death.

The Power of Imagery with Nina Schuyler

September 12 & 13 on Zoom
Enrollment closes Thursday, September 3 at 7:00 PM Pacific

If your descriptions are vivid but your stories still feel thin, this workshop is for you.

Join award-winning author Nina Schuyler to learn the difference between description, which tells a reader what things look like, and imagery, which carries plot, character, and meaning at the same time.

In just two days, you'll learn to choose images that hold emotion without naming it, pair them so each one deepens the other, and build patterns that gather meaning as the story moves.

A great story; a poignant love song.

So much truth here, encapsulated in so few words.

Wow, this is beautiful. “You are the brightest star of my galaxy, the energy propelling me to go forward” is probably my favorite line. Great writing!
