Joanne, a production assistant, looked on as the cameras rolled and leading actor, Kurt, slipped into the character of Detective Brasset: a brooding, weathered detective, emotionally scarred from his recent divorce. Brasset exuded toughness and emotional intelligence and, with his dash of vulnerability, Joanne couldn’t help but feel attracted.
When the director called “Cut!” Kurt sauntered over with his oafish grin and began telling lame jokes. Joanne pretended to listen as she searched his face for traces of Detective Brasset. As always, she came up blank. She refused to give up, though. The detective had to be buried in there somewhere.
Wow, excellent! You captured so much in so few words. I really like this one!
Clever, fun, and oh so often true.
