Awake at 2:30 am.
I went to bed shortly after 11:00 pm. I read for a while. I attached my hated CPAP headgear with the tube that makes me look like an elephant. I arranged both legs bent and each lying on the bed, not on each other. I plumped up my pillow, creating the perfect head-support. I switched on the machine, switched off the bedside light, closed my eyes and deliberately slowed my breathing.
I felt pleased that it was a reasonable hour; I want to go swimming in the morning.
But now it’s 2:30 am and I’m still awake.
