Just Ask

There were tiny people living inside the stairs. Their house was on the fifth step from the bottom, between the second and third floor.

Adelaine found them by accident. Walking up to her apartment she looked down and saw the little woman carrying her little baby. She had been very close to stepping on them both, very close.

If you ask them, everyone will tell you that there are no tiny people living inside any stairs. But you can’t believe everyone. They won’t know, they can’t know until they almost step on one of the tiny people living inside their stairs.
