Justice for All

August 24, 2020 1 Comment

By Marc Littman

It wasn’t enough seeing the protestors on television. My teenage daughter, Kimberly, wanted to be part of the action, so we drove alongside the marchers at a safe distance from wary police.

“Stop! I want to get out and march. I want to share the pain and demand justice for all,” Kimberly demanded.

“But you’re not Black,” I tried to dissuade her. “What do you know of their pain?” She swung her door open. I stopped and helped Kimberly slide into her wheelchair then she waved me off in a sign of defiance as she pushed herself forward into the crowd.

The Power of Imagery with Nina Schuyler

September 12 & 13 on Zoom
Enrollment closes Thursday, September 3 at 7:00 PM Pacific

If your descriptions are vivid but your stories still feel thin, this workshop is for you.

Join award-winning author Nina Schuyler to learn the difference between description, which tells a reader what things look like, and imagery, which carries plot, character, and meaning at the same time.

In just two days, you'll learn to choose images that hold emotion without naming it, pair them so each one deepens the other, and build patterns that gather meaning as the story moves.
