The patio door opens; Jaquan enters.
She wishes he would slow down so she could see clearly the tattoo on the side of his blue-Mohawk-crowned, half-shaved head.
Additionally, she wishes he’d not tramp through her house wearing those huge boots sporting four side buckles.
She’ll make a mention to Cleve.
She enters the bathroom attentive to one last touch to her hair and make-up.
Cleve’s door opens.
The two boys come out brandishing guns.
Their clown faces streaked bright red.
Later, Detective Hargriphs wonders as to Pailla’s last thought.
