Whoa! There’s a dead body in my recycling bin. Someone has stuffed a middle-aged, naked, male cadaver in there without consent!
The collector guy has refused to take it. “Dead humans are not recyclable, mate,” he pointed out. “They go in landfill.”
“Bugger!” I conceded, and wheeled my yellow bin back inside.
I always have my refuse sorted with green-loving attention too. Plastic thoroughly cleaned. Glass sparkling. Tin cans scrubbed spotless. Bundles of newspapers checked for foreign detritus. Cardboard boxes flattened.
Landfill isn’t until next week, and I’m now having to make room in my freezer.
Some people are so inconsiderate.
Love this, it did make me smile. I’m a fan of dark humour!
Love this story too. What a nuisance to have to keep the body for another week!!! Dustmen nowadays, eh?
Enjoyed it a lot. Thanks for the laugh.
Whoa! Aftershock – it made me laugh. So Inconvenient – that dead body!
Ha ha! The scary part is that I sound like this guy… I wash my recyclables, sort them… and having to go to the landfill, well, the freezer may be an option…
Darkly funny!! Love it!
Deep but amusing!
Adore this! Thanks for a good laugh.
Great. Made me smile.
Very dark and very funny!
That last line sells it
