On May 2, 1519, Leonardo Da Vinci met God at the gates of heaven.
The two great artists embraced, and together they entered paradise.
With pleasure, Leonardo noticed that the landscape, with its long grasses and wobbling cypresses, resembled his beloved native Tuscany.
He and God walked for a time in silence.
Finally God said, “You know, Leonardo, I keep a reproduction of the Mona Lisa on my desk. I’ve always wanted to ask: How did you do it? How did you make her smile like that?”
“My Lord,” said Leonardo. “I was going to ask you the very same question.”
Enjoyed this one. A little chuckle for me.
I truly love this short story. So charming.
Clever and sweet!
Nice, cleverly written story.
Nothing without divine blessings.
What a gem!
