Lizard Brain

Lizard Brain

By Ryan Benson

Jim is a lizard person. Has to be. I’m ninety percent sure he’s part of an alien infiltration plan. How else was he promoted over me?

Wish my sunglasses revealed Jim’s true form. Rowdy Roddy Piper never had this problem in the movie. He saw one hundred percent through the alien cabal’s human disguise and subterfuge.

Now, my only recourse is to crack open his head. Lizard brains are unmistakably different from human cerebral matter.

The remaining question is, do I stop with Jim or chase this conspiracy up the corporate ladder? After all, my boss did give him the promotion.

The Power of Imagery with Nina Schuyler

September 12 & 13 on Zoom
Enrollment closes Thursday, September 3 at 7:00 PM Pacific

If your descriptions are vivid but your stories still feel thin, this workshop is for you.

Join award-winning author Nina Schuyler to learn the difference between description, which tells a reader what things look like, and imagery, which carries plot, character, and meaning at the same time.

In just two days, you'll learn to choose images that hold emotion without naming it, pair them so each one deepens the other, and build patterns that gather meaning as the story moves.
