The night was in its youth. He had moved in today and was alone for the very first time in many years. He was exhausted, yet sleep eluded him, and he ached for the company of his wife, her warm breath, the musky smell of her body, the soft curls of her hair. He turned to the other side and looked at the empty space near him, and a tear drop escaped the corner of his eye.
She stood there and cried like a baby, her tears washing away the dust from the grave of her husband, buried just that evening.
At first i thought…the wife’s dead..
