Jacob’s heart transplant operation appeared to be a complete success. However, his recovery was marred by an ache in his chest doctors couldn’t explain. A raven-haired beauty haunted Jacob’s dreams, and he realised that the ache was his borrowed heart pining for her. Overwhelmed with desire, he’d no choice but to find his heart’s lost love.
Eventually, he discovered that she’d died in the same car crash that had claimed his heart’s original owner. Knowledge of her death broke Jacob’s heart. He tried to carry on but realised if his heart wasn’t in it, then the rest of him wasn’t either.
Well done. Loved connection of transplanted heart to it’s lost love.
I’m a kidney transplant recipient.
!
What a great bit of writing. I love the idea.
Heartbreak aways make for a good story, even if the heart belonged to someone else.
Neat idea and well done!
Wistful. Evocative .
