Lucy and her friends dropped acid and hung out in her parents’ backyard. Some entertained themselves by ripping out blades of grass, while others strummed extended versions of old Neil Young songs. Still others attempted to match the passing clouds with celebrity faces.
The mood darkened when Lucy’s cats decided to go AWOL. Everyone joined in on the search, traversing the neighborhood, yelling “Here, kitty, kitty,” but to no avail.
The once serene day turned into the reality of night, as everything morphed back to normalcy. Bad news for the cats: they were never seen again, at least by anything human.
Oh wow. I didn’t see that coming! What a great set-up. I’m tingling now with that ending.
Echoes of another time only prove what we already knew; stay clean and your cats will return along with your brain. Good story.
I like ‘at least by anything human.’ as an ending.
What do you reckon Lucy and Co. can do to see them cats again? Perhaps, drop more acid?
I love it. I can picture the whole thing. It starts off funny and then takes the dramatic turn and everyone freaks. A full scenario in 101 words. Really good.
