Ernie went to the Louvre. Paris, France. Oh, the art. The paintings, the statuary. Magnificent. The crowds of tourists, a little stifling. Finally, it was time to leave. He had seen enough. Had enough of the crowds. Which way was out? Look for the sign that said “Sortie”. “Exit” in French. Found one. Followed it. That exit was closed. Found another sign. Couldn’t find the exit. Didn’t speak French but asked an employee. A jabber of French and a waving of arms. He wandered for hours. Couldn’t find the way out. Like Charlie on the MTA, he was never seen again.
A little eerie, a little amusing. A difficult combination in few words. Nice!
