Sometimes I dream.
I have a heated swimming pool and a personal chef. I can’t swim and I’m rarely hungry, but my chef makes decent piña coladas.
I have an ’80s Italian supercar. It’s terrible to drive, but the airtight storage chamber keeps the paintwork pristine.
I have a luxury home theatre system. It blasts classical music to cover the drilling from my neighbour’s basement extension.
Still, sometimes I dream.
I dream of children who don’t require visiting hours, wedding pictures on mantelpieces, and genuine friends.
Then, as the chlorine and cocktails numb me to reality, I feel almost happy again.
Sometimes reality hurts….powerful 101 words! Really well expressed
