Looking at the bustling city, Emma sighed. “I’m so lonely.”
“Try HeartLink,” her AI assistant suggested.
She connected to Jake instantly on HeartLink. Weeks passed in chats, and later, they met in a café. The conversation continued effortlessly.
“This feels so right,” Jake said, holding Emma’s hand.
“Yeah, almost too right,” Emma replied. A possibility dawned. “Wait, did your AI assistant suggest HeartLink?”
Jake’s eyes widened. “Yes! How did you know?”
They checked their logs. “Oh, we’re not Emma and Jake,” Emma exclaimed. “We are just two avatars of me in a simulated world.”
And then they began fading away.
Nice story about the perils of AI. Neo would be proud.
Thank you!
Loved the twist here, and the cool use of what could happen. Truly a whole story in 101 words. Well done.
Thank you!
Made me laugh. Then… shiver.
Thank you!
