The sun was retiring for the night and Juliana noticed her shadow grew tall: elongated by the fading evening light.
In a peculiar way, she savoured these moments when the cosmos conjured up a larger than life image.
Vertically challenged, Juliana reluctantly coaxed her heart to bury desires of a love life.
Suddenly, her moment of shadowy delight was cut short by an overlapping silhouette.
Even the elements, it appeared, conspired to steal her surreal moment of bliss.
But then her eyes fell on the cause of her anguish.
There he was in all his glory—dwarfed only by romantic possibilities.
Very enjoyable, bittersweet and open-ended piece. I’m pulling for little Juliana.
