Oh, how she danced!
A stream of air tickled her like a feather as her feet lifted off the ground. With every pirouette, her arms opened and closed just as a swallow innately beats its wings. Her heart was in tune with the sound of the violin, effortlessly responding to the vibrations of the well-known melody. Like always, each pas composé was perfectly paced.
As she prepared herself for the grande finale, she was so absorbed in the song that she didn’t notice the nurse who was carefully bathing her with a sponge, the water trickling past her bedsores like tears.
This is lovely and heartrending…
