Met Her for Sex

Met Her for Sex

By Shiv Rayani

My beacon of unspeakable pleasure, I’ve travelled far through the uncertainty of night. The roads were ribboned black with streetlights singeing gold. My pulse revved the engine at the very thought: checking in; boarding; taking off; landing together, safely. See, I’m craving that heavenly touch at this ungodly hour. To scream Hallelujah from reddened pockets of Eden. Let me be your tiger. Hunt, trail, and shoot ’til I can roar no more…

Crystal puffs a lungful out the passenger window, flicking ash off its tail.

“It’ll cost more than fancy words to get another nibble of this cookie, mister writer man.”

The Power of Imagery with Nina Schuyler

September 12 & 13 on Zoom
Enrollment closes Thursday, September 3 at 7:00 PM Pacific

If your descriptions are vivid but your stories still feel thin, this workshop is for you.

Join award-winning author Nina Schuyler to learn the difference between description, which tells a reader what things look like, and imagery, which carries plot, character, and meaning at the same time.

In just two days, you'll learn to choose images that hold emotion without naming it, pair them so each one deepens the other, and build patterns that gather meaning as the story moves.

I like this. Verbose — then *pow* — right in the kisser. Roar no more? For a price.
