My bed faces the kitchen, which is empty. It’s far from the front room where my daddy is working. Going the other way, to the dining room, my mummy is working. Sometimes I sleep all day, and sometimes I cry for attention. If I need attention, they will scratch my ears.
They used to give each other attention but now hardly speak.
I feel I’m going to die soon, and maybe my passing will bring them closer together. The thought mixes me up inside, so I cry. They come to me and, seeing them side by side, I wag my tail.
I thought it was an animal but this was beautifully put together.
Ah so beautiful. Our pets notice more than we humans do. Beautifully captured through the power of your writing.
wonderfully done…
Cosy and real. I thought animal before the finish, but that didn’t take away anything.
That was so beautifully done! Loved it!
