“All we need is $250 and her social media logins,” was the pitch. “In a week you’ll have an AI you’ll swear is actually her.”
What can I say? I was in a bad place after she left. It could never replace her, but it would be something.
The chat bot was ready in five days. The avatar could have been her sister, but the voice was dead-on.
Within a month, though, her avatar said I was boring it. The bot ignored me and spent all night chatting online with guys named Chad. That’s when I realized they had nailed it.
Hello Michael,
Very timely and amusing, and I think switching out some of those pronouns would have ramped up the climax. Well done!!
I love the twist (and the title).
Great story with a humorous ending.
Funny story, I enjoyed the concept. I think you. Should give ‘her’ and even ‘it’ a name.
In the end, the Chads always nail it too! No need to name the Chad nor the it. And who knows, maybe even a virus (or bug) was passed along.
Good show Michael.
Great work. Loved the twist, and the title.
