A scream stirred me. A small girl with a jar was chasing me. She was screaming in delight. She thought I’d soon be a bee in her jar.
I felt an odd sensation on my face. A runny nose? I wiped at it. It was fuzzy and sticky like honey. It was a bit of a spider’s web I’d bumped into.
Moving forward, I hit more of the stuff. I was surrounded. Then I saw the spider—bulbous green eyes hovering over me; its body swaying on legs synchronized to hydraulic rhythms—ready to pounce.
I buzzed right out of there.
Really love the imagery you created! I like too, how you showed three different character’s/being’s perspectives – well done!
Thank you, Kimberly.
Was taking flight with you, felt real. Great imagery.
