Maybe I wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed but, as a shovel, I could always hold my own.
The rake only held their attention for a few short weeks in the fall.
The hoe…well, everyone knew about the hoe. It was their summer fling. Use it and toss it aside.
But when they picked me up, they knew something was going to happen. I could make the earth move.
Then she arrived. The shiny red rototiller, ready for her moment in the sun.
It didn’t last long. She mysteriously tilled her way down the hill and into the pond.
Hahahha. Wonderful ! What a tonic that was. The characters and the ending. So charming.
