“Bless me, Father, for I have sinned.”
“And what is the sin you wish to confess?”
“Theft, Father. I took an apple from a tree. A talking snake told me it was OK. But the owner of the tree was upset since he had told me and my husband not to take any.”
“I must warn you, my child, never ever listen to talking snakes.”
“That was easy,” the woman said to a man waiting for her.
“I’m hungry, Eve. Let’s go to Adam’s Ribs. I like their barbecue.”
“Yes, devilishly hot. And they have an apple pie to die for.”
Good play on words. Adams ribs, devilishly hot.
Good one. Made me smile, and that’s well worth the read.
Loved it! Well done
