Adult female, approx. 23 y/o, found supine, unconscious. Police recovered a 9mm semi-automatic HG near patient’s right hand. Where did you even get that?
Pt unresponsive to stimuli. Gross cranial trauma with large exit wound noted at apex of pt’s skull. Cardiac monitor confirmed flatline in all leads. My cherished symphony, ceased. Dried blood noted on pt’s face, scalp, and surrounding area. No resuscitative efforts were initiated due to signs of prolonged death.
Body released to county coroner. No further EMS intervention required.
Nothing found on pt’s person except a handwritten note. It was addressed to me.

This is disturbing and quite frankly weird. Can only think it’s a personal thing.
The emt probably dealt with it with the mindset of how it’s just another report to write, LOL. My brother used to see things like this all the time. Once you see and experience things like this over and over in that kind of profession, it becomes just more reports to write at the end of the day. He would have them piled up sometimes with how busy a day could be.
