Tell my world to shut off the darkness like a night-switch, because I’m afraid of what lurks inside her.
Tell my world that she never kisses me good morning anymore; I feel like depression is eating my soul inside a blackened alley where shadows go to die.
Tell my world why I can’t forget my enemies within this prison of conviction in my eyes. That when happiness comes to know me, I may never know it hits.
Tell my world I’m sorry, but I couldn’t save her from the damnation she was promised.
And from the end she has always expected.
Beautifully depressing; unexpected ending. Quite good.
Reads like a dark prose poem, like a Baudelairien fleur du mal. I especially enjoyed its structure.
