It seemed kind of strange for Daniel, but a new man at his stepmother’s cocktail party was just par for the course now that his father had up and disappeared.
He now shared the old Victorian house with her. Crossing the living room, an uneasy feeling overwhelmed him and sent goosebumps trickling down his spine.
Daniel opened the screen door and caught his breath. The grass in front of him had been recently dug up into two equal areas. He felt four hands shove him effortlessly into one of the shallow graves.
“Daniel, don’t be rude; say hello to your father.”
That’s one way to burn your bridges behind you! A really chilling story. Liked it.
