“Mr. President, we cannot do that,” said the Army Chief of Staff, aghast. “A crusade had its place a millennia ago. A faith-based purge within our borders would be an unmitigated international disaster.”
The President adopted the petulant posture he was famous for. Eyes squished, lips pursed, chubby fingers intertwined on the top of his finely polished desk.
“When you say ‘we,’ do you mean yourself personally, or the entire army?” asked the most powerful man in the world with a barely contained snarl.
“You know what I mean, Mr. President,” replied the General reticently.
“In that case, you’re fired.”
Brilliant!
Nasty Mr President. Makes you think though. Have you based this on a potential Republican candidate by any chance?
Pretty obvious isnt it.
LOL oh, I hope you’re not telling us the future!
Great little story, Deepak. You tell it like it (probably) is.
This is scary because it could be true in the not too distant future……
very timely piece, unfortunately – seems too many of the world’s ‘masters’ would prefer to cleanse their ‘undesirables’ in a very violent way
Brilliant and scary – could just be a real scenario
