Remember when we used to talk?
Back when I was 12 I had so many questions about the future. Who would I be and what would I do for a living? Would I get married and have children? Where would I live? What would the world be like in that far-off adult existence? I remember wondering about all these things and asking you all these questions, thinking you might have some answers. Or at least good guesses. We’d look right into each other’s eyes quite seriously.
Then, after a little while of staring at you, I’d walk away from the mirror.
Isn’t this everyone? A well written piece! Kudos.
Thank you, Kevin. I’m glad you enjoyed it!

That’s a good twist. I was picturing a parent (perhaps a now deceased parent). The ending makes me consider the story in a different light.
Thank you, David, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
