The long hairy body lay draped over the dissecting table; beneath the patchy fur, the skin was leathery.
“Sasquatch! Jesus,” Doc exclaimed. “I can’t believe it!”
“Believe it,” Sheriff Jim Blake said. “Killed on the highway by Garberville. Guy who called in thought he’d hit a bear. That’ll help keep it quiet.”
“What a story! Help me flip him.”
The dark face was less hairy, the nose broad and flat above a slight muzzle. Doc reached to fold back the dark simian lips, then snatched his hand back as though he’d been bitten.
“Jimmy, my god. Jimmy! He’s had dental work!”
Ha! Love the punchline! Great story.
