This was a tale my grandmother told me.
It’s at least a hundred years old.
Her grandmother would often hear the neighbour scream and curse his wife.
“Die, bitch! I’ll chop you up and feed you to the crows and vultures! Die!”
“You’ll go to hell! Take that. And that!”
“I’ll kill you, whore! I’ll break your bones! Die!”
One day, the uproar began. Great-Great-Grandmother could take it no more. She rushed out of her house and into theirs, straight into their backyard.
The husband was shouting, swearing, as his wife thrashed him with a broom, her foot pinning him down.
Oh, that was a bombshell! Nicely done!!
