Rudy Left Reno

July 20, 2017 Leave a Comment

By Fred Vogel

Rudy left Reno with a full tank of gas, an empty heart, and the band America blasting over the 8-track. Any thoughts of Rudy taking the breakup like a man failed miserably as he blubbered and moaned all the way to Lone Pine. He stopped for a burger and used the pay phone attached to the wood-paneled wall near the bathrooms to give her a call—just to make sure this was really what she wanted. She told him it was all for the best and that he should continue to L.A. He protested. “But I’m already sick of America.”

The Power of Imagery with Nina Schuyler

September 12 & 13 on Zoom
Enrollment closes Thursday, September 3 at 7:00 PM Pacific

If your descriptions are vivid but your stories still feel thin, this workshop is for you.

Join award-winning author Nina Schuyler to learn the difference between description, which tells a reader what things look like, and imagery, which carries plot, character, and meaning at the same time.

In just two days, you'll learn to choose images that hold emotion without naming it, pair them so each one deepens the other, and build patterns that gather meaning as the story moves.
