I moved around a lot growing up. I used to joke that the longest home I’ve ever had was in the womb. It wasn’t funny, but I never really intended for it to be. People felt sorry for me, so I kept repeating it.
My mum was running from something; I was sick of running.
I wanted nothing more than to take root somewhere and refuse to move. Have Mum come down with agoraphobia so we’d have no choice but to stay put.
I never wanted to end up like my mum, but look at me go. Look at me run.
