Waves bookmarked kisses that took place between effervescent turquoise splashes of sun that threw gunshots of light off chrome of ’67 ‘Vette. A harsh muted scent of sea swept over a lone sandcastle that stood on a golden perch in front of them. They had spent the day entire constructing it out of sand nails and water plaster. As her clothes forcibly started to come off so did the castle start to relent to the ocean. Soon she had no windows to see her past and no door to enter her future—all that remained was a swell, then soft crying.
Oh my, this is a very impressive story in so few words. The unexpected is terrifying, beginning with something so benign.
Some of the best things get the least comments… not always, but frequently. This is astounding. The ending could be taken about 3 or 4 different ways and that lends a real dynamic to the piece. You can just feel good writing.
