For months, Kara tried to replicate her sister Bella’s Twilight Cake with red chocolate frosting and velvet-red batter. She’d nailed the frosting quickly after tinkering with the sour cream to sugar ratio. The cake, however, carried a salty, metallic essence that left Kara stumped. She’d added beets, jalapeños, even edible flowers. To no avail. After her thousandth attempt, Kara butchered her semi-sweet failure, hacking away, crazy-eyed and snarling, like Chucky. Caught up in her frenzy, she’d failed to notice the blood dripping from her finger until it stained the crumbs with a rich crimson hue. Curious, she sampled a morsel.
Bingo.
Deliciously creepy!
Thank you Coco!

Good one!
I like how, even though you signal early where you are going, you find a clever way to get there.
I had no idea where this was going, so was pleasantly surprised when she discovered the secret ingredient.
Bingo!
Amazing!
