I heard a rustling sound among the leaves. I found a baby crow that had fallen from its nest. To feed it, I dug into the soil and pulled out worms, something I would normally find disgusting. That’s not true. I used to feel fine using a shovel to cut them in half.
I had prepared its nest in a wicker basket. My father came and said the baby crow shouldn’t come into our house. The next morning, we found its lifeless body at the base of the plum tree. I turned to my father and asked, “What did you expect?”
Interesting. Simple but to me there’s a hint of more beneath the surface.
