Sowing Seeds

“Click only on images of feathers. Let all other images scroll by.”

The monotony of reviewing the parade of pictures as they inched across my monitor motivated me to mischief in my new job. The lack of windows, minimum wage, and cubicle isolation didn’t help, either.

The process was too pristine. So on my third day, I began clicking other images, too. Flowers, fish, leaves, pens, and butcher knives (my favorite) subtly infiltrated the data set.

It’s only fair that if human minds have to suffer from uncertainty, confusion, and (in my case) dementia, artificial intelligence should suffer from them, too.
