
There are lots of first times when you grow up, but at some point there’ll be none.
Only the memory.
Maybe that’s why she held onto Damir for as long as she did. Because somewhere deep inside she knew that he was the last time she would ever feel anything new.
She remembered him again. The inexplicable time in her life. The way he looked at her and smiled. That awkward height she loved, hilarious hair-do and long fingers entwining with hers. They looked like teenagers in love.
He was something she has never experienced before and will never experience after.
