“Hello?”
“Hi, Dad,” purrs Katrina, the daughter-in-law.
“How’s everything?” probes Stu, the family patriarch.
“Everybody’s fine; are you still thinking of coming for the Super Bowl, dear?”
“Yes, honey,” replies Stu, clandestine interest piqued.
“Well, Tom’s having some clients over and now several are bringing their wives too. We’re gon’a have a house full. How’d it be if the boys came to your place?”
“I’d love to have my boys anytime,” responds the grandfather, repellant suspicions fully realized.
“Thanks dear, that’ll really help us out,” hurries the daughter-in-law, now mindful of other matters.
The patriarch gives thought to his chickenshit son.
You tell it like it (often) is, Jeffrey! Excellent story!
Excellent. So true to life!!
Wow, this is what was going on? No wonder I never liked the Super Bowl!
