In January, as blue-gray days blurred together, she laced her honey with cinnamon and pierced her nose.
Scott laughed and said, “Old wives’ tales? Well, why not?”
In February, for Valentine’s Day, she gave herself the following gifts: stop testing her pee, tracking ovulation, lifting her legs after sex, and researching in vitro.
In May, she scrawled a letter to the Universe: To Whom It May Concern, I surrender. Much love, Eve.
Scott held her tightly.
That November, she waddled to the mailbox, pink invitations in hand, as the golden leaves floated to the ground. Her baby kicked gently inside her.
Lovely story.
Beautiful. Nice payoff. ??????

Works that way sometimes. Lovely
Really good story and how letting go, so to speak, can work out.
So sweet. Well done
Good going girl!
