Marge loved her Christmas nativity scene, so when Baby Jesus went missing from her front lawn, her festive world fell apart. A note pinned to Joseph’s beard read, ‘Send $1,000 if you want to see the kid again.’
Marge was fiercely attached to that pockmarked piece of plaster, so she sent the money.
A week later, a letter arrived.
‘My dearest Marge, I needed a larger audience. I’m off to deliver my message of love to the world.
Affectionately yours, Baby Jesus.
P.S. The first note was from me. I needed travel cash. Don’t worry, I’ll be back by Easter.’
This story made me laugh. What a fun twist at the end!
Robin,
Your story was so fun to read. I’ll never look at a nativity scene the same way again.
OMSJ !

Very entertaining!
Great twist!
Hello Robin,
Great read! A thousand dollars won’t go far, but then I remembered the Parable of the Loaves and Fishes.
Great story with a surprise ending that made me smile! Also making me smile: OMSJ comment!!
Thanks for the laugh!
Delightful. I especially liked “pockmarked piece of plaster.”
