It had been days since the ill-fated Happy Jungle Excursions survivors had eaten.
“Red snakes are edible right?”
“No, Blues are safe, Reds are poisonous.”
“You mean venomous.”
“Same thing, like flammable and inflammable.”
“No, venomous means they have to bite you and poisonous means you have to bite them.”
“Whatever.”
“Only Blue for you, Red is dead. Remember?”
“Isn’t it No Blue for you, eat Red instead?”
Annoyed, the snaked reared up and sunk his fangs into the nearest leg, the owner of which collapsed, yelling in ear splitting agony before dying.
In teamwork, the survivors realized, results outweigh discussion.
Great setup, great delivery and the message in the last line… Magnificent. I like the way you think and the way your writing delivers your message.
Thank you!
Good story…but what I want to know is: What happened to the snake? Was it eaten? Did it get away? Did it join the band of survivors!?
LOL… great fun story
