“I want to live where syrup pours from the trees, where honey drips overflowing from the beehive, where grapes are always juicy and full on the vines, and where the water runs crystal clear and free in the river.” Adam scrunched up his face and massaged his brow. When he’d asked what she wanted in their new home, he’d been thinking ‘near a river,’ or ‘plenty of shade.’
They rested on a rock at the edge of a barren desert. He squeezed her hand tight. “But please stop bringing home every wandering stray. Or asking any more of them for advice.”
Hello LL,
Very subtle.
Of course, Adam didn’t have a clue as to his mirror-opposite “help meet’s” maternal characteristics and instincts.
Kudos on creativity and writing prowess.
Adam asked and she delivered. Love, love. Thank you.
