Amelia sat on her bed, hugging her favourite stuffed toy. Everything she’d believed in for years had been a lie.
It always involved secrets and lies: They were told so often they were nearly suffocating. The events of the past few years upset her deeply, and she considered hiding under her flowered covers for the rest of her life.
She needed to find meaning again, somehow. Amelia took a deep breath and nodded. Amanda. Surely her best friend would know what to say.
That was the worst ending to a favourite television programme ever, and she would not forgive or forget.
Nice surprise ending. Great work!
That’s exactly how I felt @ Lost. I was so mad at the cheap ending but never admitted it!!! Loved that you could capture all that in your story.
The creators know not what they do. Excellently communicated, Ashleigh.
Excellent reveal!
Good ending, although I’m reliving Seinfeld.
Fooled me with the buildup then the trick ending. Good job!
my mind was running towards some catastrophic thing like divorce or death of a parent or war ,,,,,you let me down but you put cushions under me. Good story
