I once had a bag. It was a quaint one, not fashionable at all, but I loved it nonetheless. I thought it suited me just fine. It sat comfortably upon my shoulders, evening out all the heavy loads I drag around everywhere I go.
However, like all things, it became more worn-out day by day. You’d see more stains and loose thread as time passed by. It couldn’t remain ‘good to go’…and it didn’t.
A phone call. An accident, they said!
That quaint blue bag, with all its stains and loose thread, just collapsed and could never be used again.
We measure the passing of time in so many ways, but the daily needs we could on eventually wear, and catch us by surprise.
