Clyde, a very simple man and roadside mechanic slowly walked out of his garage. The driver had not been able to start his car and was stranded. He thought his joking was good-natured, wholesome, and tender. Never malicious. But the intelligence of this auto artisan coupled with his seemingly infallible hands goes over the organs of the machine. He is yesterday’s computer as his mind is calculating dozens of hypotheses.
Soon the trouble is found. The mechanic smiles as the driver wonders at what or whom.
Never again will the driver make light of a man who works with his hands.
I like this one, Jim. Just goes to show you — a true gifted artist can be found working in his studio with paint and brushes . . . or repairing automobiles down at the corner garage/repair shop.
